Withdrawal cannot always remove material that has already been distributed, printed, reposted by third parties, or otherwise made public prior to the withdrawal request.

We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary:

MAX may communicate with teachers, guidance counsellors, schools, educational professionals, coaches, or other individuals involved in supporting a student where the parent, guardian, or student has authorized MAX to do so.

Information shared through these communications will generally be limited to what is reasonably necessary to support the student.

17. Data Security

MAX uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against:

  • unauthorized access
  • loss
  • misuse
  • disclosure
  • alteration
  • theft
  • destruction

These safeguards may include:

  • account access controls

No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. However, MAX takes reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information it manages.

18. Data Retention

MAX does not intend to retain student personal information indefinitely.

As a general practice:

Active Students

Information may be retained while a student or family is actively participating in MAX programs and while the information remains reasonably necessary to provide services.

Former Students

After a student leaves MAX, we generally aim to delete, securely destroy, or anonymize academic and program information within approximately 12 months, unless there is a legitimate business, legal, safety, dispute-resolution, or administrative reason to retain it longer.

Information that is no longer required for an identified purpose may be securely deleted or anonymized.

Financial Records

Certain invoices, transaction information, agreements, and financial records may be retained for longer periods where required by Canadian tax, accounting, or other legal requirements.

Deleting a MAX account does not necessarily require MAX to delete information that we are legally required to retain.

19. Accessing Your Personal Information

Students, parents, or guardians may contact MAX to request access to personal information we hold about them.

Subject to applicable legal limitations, individuals may request:

  • confirmation of whether MAX holds their personal information
  • access to that information
  • correction of inaccurate information
  • an explanation of how information has been used
  • information about parties to whom information has been disclosed

We may need to verify the identity of the person making the request before providing access.

20. Correcting Information

If information held by MAX is incorrect or outdated, students or parents may ask us to update or correct it.

We encourage families to keep contact information, course information, schedules, and other relevant account information current.

21. Account and Data Deletion Requests

Students or parents may request deletion of their MAX account or personal information by contacting:

info@maxperformanceprogram.com

Where reasonably possible and permitted by law, MAX will delete or anonymize information that is no longer necessary.

For example, MAX may require certain contact, academic, scheduling, and parent information in order to maintain an active student account.

Withdrawal of consent for optional activities, such as promotional use of photographs or testimonials, will not affect a student's ability to participate in MAX programming.

23. Privacy Breaches

If MAX becomes aware of unauthorized access to, loss of, or disclosure of personal information, we will investigate the incident and take reasonable steps to reduce potential harm.

Where required by applicable privacy law, MAX will notify affected individuals and/or the appropriate regulatory authorities.
